F1 fans are passionate about their favorite teams. They know the history of their team and they will go to great lengths to defend its honor. Any time a fan dares challenge their favorite F1 team, they will inevitably face some sort of backlash… but not always! It all depends on who is doing the dissing and what team (or driver) they are talking about. So sit back and enjoy this list of the most popular F1 teams throughout history!
Ferrari F1
Ferrari is the oldest and most successful team in Formula 1. They are the only team to have competed in every season of the world championship, and they have won more drivers’ championships than any other team – with 16 titles to their name.
The Italian constructor’s founder Enzo Ferrari initially raced cars under his own brand before setting up Scuderia Ferrari for road car production, but his passion for racing was so strong that he soon returned to it by entering cars into races as well as designing them for clients’ use.
McLaren F1
McLaren F1 is a British Formula One team based at the McLaren Technology Centre, Woking, Surrey, England.
Renault F1
Renault F1 was founded in 1976 and is now known as Renault Sport Formula One Team. The team has participated in every single Formula One season, with the exception of 1980. When Renault entered the sport of Formula One, it did so with a French driver named Jean-Pierre Jabouille who had experience from competing in sports car races. He won the 1978 Belgian Grand Prix, which was the first win for Renault F1 at this level. In 1979, Guy Ligier joined forces with Renault F1 and helped them win both their first constructors’ championship as well as their first drivers’ championship as well: René Arnoux took on Nelson Piquet to become champion that year.
Conclusion
F1 is a team sport, much like football or baseball. Teams need to work together as one unit in order to be successful, so it’s important to keep an eye on whom they hire and how they operate. While there are only twelve teams currently competing in F1, we hope this list will help you gain a better understanding of each one’s history and culture so that when you watch the next race season (or just want something fun to do), you know which teams are worth cheering for!
